From the studio archive, Amphora of Merlot is an early dimensional work from the development of my fabric practice. Archive Release - $900
This is an original mixed media artwork with burgundy faux leather draped over a 36” x 36” x 1.5” gallery wrapped canvas. The hanging portion of the piece adds an additional 12” to its height, making it 36” x 48” in total.
I chose this deep burgundy fabric to bring to mind the richness in color and taste of French red wine. I complemented the striking maroon leather with a shimmering burgundy paint, producing a warmth and intensity that would be a great addition to any moody decor.
